Charges

End cleaning charge of £15 only applies in certain circumstances - see terms & conditions.

  • Electricity is charged by meter reading and is payable on day of departure.
  • No additional charge for heating
  • Initial deposit per cottage per week £100 or per weekend / midweek £50 which must be sent with the Booking Form.
  • Payment in full to be received four weeks prior to arrival date.
  • A refundable damage deposit of £50 is payable upon arrival and will be returned on departure after satisfactory inspection of the cottage and equipment.
  • All bed linen is supplied free of charge.
  • A telephone is installed in each cottage. This is card operated and accepts most major credit cards. Pre-paid cards are also available and can be obtained upon arrival or from the Larganess Centre during office hours. Cost per card £5.

Full Week = 7 nights Saturday to Saturday
Weekend = 2 nights Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday
Midweek = any 3 nights from Monday to Thursday
Extra nights or alternative arrangements to above can be made subject to availability.

Low Season: October - March (Excluding Christmas, Easter & Bank / Public Holidays)
Mid Season: April, May, June & September (Excluding Easter & Bank / Public Holidays)
High Season: July & August (Also Easter, Christmas, & Bank / Public Holidays)

Terms & Conditions of Hire

  • Bookings must be accompanied by the appropriate deposit (£100 per cottage per week or £50 per weekend) to reserve accommodation and this deposit will be held as part of the full rental charge. The balance of the rental is payable four weeks before the arrival date. Telephone bookings will be held for seven days pending receipt of written confirmation and deposit.
  • Notice of cancellation of booking must be received in writing and the following cancellation charges will apply:
More than 6 weeks before arrival date No charge
6 - 4 weeks before arrival date   Booking deposit
4 - 2 weeks before arrival date   50% of total cost
2 - 1 weeks before arrival date   75% of total cost
Less than 1 week before arrival date   100% of total cost
  • The hirer is responsible for the property and all equipment during the period of hire and for the clean condition of the property, it's furnishings, equipment and utensils at the end of the hire period. A refundable damage deposit of £50 is payable upon arrival and will be returned on departure after satisfactory inspection of the cottage and equipment.
  • The rental charge covers the cost of hire of the cottage and all the equipment detailed in the inventory including bed linen. Electricity is chargeable by meter reading and is payable on departure. Hirers should check the equipment inventory on arrival, and report any missing or damaged items immediately.
  • It is the hirer's responsibility to ensure that the cottage is left in a clean and tidy condition, otherwise a cleaning charge of £15 will be made.
  • The booking is taken on the understanding that the cottage will be made available to the hirer on the date specified on the booking form. Where management cannot fulfill this obligation due to circumstances not under its control, the deposit and any balance already paid by the hire in connection with the booking will be refunded in full, but the hirer will have no further claim against the proprietors or the management.
  • The maximum number of persons allowed to occupy any cottage is six, including children, irrespective of their ages. The number cannot be exceeded under any circumstances.
  • The cottage will be available from 4.30pm (1630 hours) on the day of arrival and must be ready for inspection by 11.00am (1100 hours) on the day of departure.
  • Pets are not permissible in the cottages without the management's express permission and prior agreement. An end cleaning charge of £15 per week or £10 per weekend will apply.
  • The proprietors or management will not be held responsible for any accident, loss or damage which the hirer or his/her fellow guests may sustain during occupancy of the cottage.
  • The management reserve the right to enter the cottages at all reasonable times for the purpose of providing proper service. However, this right will only be used when deemed absolutely necessary and will not be exercised in a way that would invade the privacy of the guests.
  • All hirers must be over 18 years of age.
  • Payment can be made by Cash, Cheque or Credit Card. Cheques should be crossed "A/C Payee Only" and made payable to Benaughlin Cottages. Cash should not be sent by post.
  • All prices are subject to alteration at the discretion of the management. However, prices quoted will not change once booking has been confirmed.
